Congratulations. Did you get to keep the wheels and tires? Post here if you want to sell them.

The axles are probably solid steel, and therefore OK to use as well.

It is a shame people use the legal process to delay something they should do right away. Lawyers make a living doing that, and wonder why they get a bad reputation.
 
My original 1980 trailer is still solid, but all the tubes are open to drain, and I'm a freshwater boater. Still, I beat feet to go check mine out after following this episode!

Nope. I took the whole thing to the scrap yard. I told them I would destroy it and that is exactly what I did. I did however make close to 200 dollars from the scrap steel and aluminium...
