Tachometer going crazy

I have a 2001 210 Sundeck. My tach seems to jump all over the place. I'm wondering if there is a ground problem or the tach is shot. any suggeestions?? Can you take the tach some place and get it rebuilt?? Might have started when I installed a new ignition module in the distributer cap. some times its fine but its getting worse. Thanks ..

Mine was doing that few season ago intermittently. Replaced gauge an all is well. Look for new one at greatlakesskipper.com
