Table Rock Lake

Hopefully the weather will cooperate a little this weekend. We are camping at the POK campgrounds for 3 days. Last year we got a little wet right about the time the fireworks were supposed to go off. Here is a pic from last year on the 4th.

Holy Crap, that looks no fun. They are calling for rain Thurs/Friday like 40%. Sometimes I think they do that to reduce the amount of people on the roads???????? Anyway I will be down Thursday through Monday regardless.

will someone please do the NO RAIN dance?

we will be down from thurs afternoon to sunday, hope to see some of you. I will keep my eyes open. especially for Kurt he says he has the best boat bar on the lake. :)

I would like to see Kurt's bar also....I have seen some of the stock pile of liquor on some of the houseboats, and they look like "mini" Brown Derbys.....

I will probably have my boat out washing it on the racks Thurs. if I get back from St. Louis in time. It needs a good bath. I hope to see some of you down there. I am really bad at identifying boats though. I am hopefully going to order my new bech seat coolers tomorrow. The seats sold for over my buy it now price :). See you all on the lake.

I need to make friends with more houseboat owners.

You will probably miss mine unless I tell you it's still named Luna sea. I am ashamed to admit we still haven't changed the name yet. My picture is just photoshopped. :(

By "Best Bar" meaning...........My good friends, good booze=good times. We just don't find the need to go to the lake bars when it is right there on your boat and you don't have to drive anywhere. What could be better???????

We ventured out past the State Park area this weekend. I must say it was beautiful and pretty cool. We drifted around not anchored or tied to anyone and watched the "Bell" and the "Ducks". All in all a great weekend except for heavy rains over nights. My buddy bought a 37 Sea Ray Aft Cabin cruiser and we spent most of the weekend next to him. I have to admit Sea Ray spared nothing on this SHIP. Hope everyone faired as well as us.

We had a great time. The storm Thursday night was fun in the tent, and the rain Sat. am wasnt much fun, but overall, it was a great trip. I did loose my phone though. I hope it is on the boat. I called big bouys and they said they had not seen it. We tried to eat at ahoys (sp), I cant believe they were closed. I cant believe We did not see any of you down there. You cant miss us, small boat with a giant yellow and blue tube on the back.

I did see a nice SeaRay, and took a few pics, but could not see what it was. I will post them later. Oh, did anyone see what went in the water at state park?

I saw nothing other than a "Boat Parade" that was led by a HUGE Sea Ray from Marine Max. Ahoy's is closed, it was purchased by the same people that own Big Bouy's and will be opened by Labor day.

WOW, I just looked up the price of a 55. 2 Mil. That's crazy. I saw a nice Crownline named Pocket Change while we were out. I might just name mine Life Savings after seeing his name.

Hey guys,

Everyone have a great weekend? I hid at MM on Thurs. Afternoon, because it started pouring right after my husband put me in the lake on the SeaDoo. I did not see that big beast there though. I would have had to check that out.

I didn't see any one of you either. I will still keep my eyes open, I will be back this weekend after I recuperate from all the fun I had this last weekend.

:)

An interesting holiday weekend no doubt. It was great to see the lake so alive with activity. I hope all of you had a great time!! The MM dock was busy and I was glad to be there so much over the last week. The storms in the mornings on Friday and Saturday led to incredibly beautiful lake days.
I got away from the dock a bit every day and played with our new 210 Sundeck we brought down....fun boat. I probably was out there with some of you but I had to focus in the small boat on rough water..<OMG...I need a chiropractor and a massage therapist>.
The big boat in the pictures is a 2001 55 Sundancer. It was bought from Lake Ozark through a brokerage up there. The owners are also clients of mine and still have their 290SLX they picked up last year. I just didnt have the 55 they were looking for but I help them with it alot.
If you havent registered for Aquapalooza, please go to www.aquapalooza.com and get aboard. The party at Tablerock is August 2nd in the cove by The Chateau. The National Signature Event, Aquapalooza Party is at Lake Ozark this year on July 19th. Very cool place/party and entertainment. Everclear and Soul Asylum headline but...THEYVE ADDED DR. ZHIVEGAS!!!! The party continues Sunday and culminates with special reserved area for us at the Eddie Money concert, Sunday night.
We're back and settled in at the dock and I'll look forward to seeing you guys next weekend!!!! As for today? Its just another day in paradise....

Your not kidding about the lake being rough. Try it in a 185. I have 2 herniated disks that have not bothered me too much for the last year, but after taking on those waves, my back is killing me. I tried to stay in the coves as much as possible. It was still worth it though. I'll have to swing by the MM dock sometime and say hey. You dont carry any parts there do you? I need a new horn for the boat.

Hi Eric, Please do come by the dock and say hi. We dont stock parts at the dock BUT....if you know somebody that works there <me>.....call the store and order what you need and ask them to send it to the dock with me this weekend. I'll have it for you there...save you some drivetime and gas and get to meet you!!!

It was a great long weekend on the lake, storms aside. Sunday was so perfect that we stayed on the water until 4:00 - which meant we didn't get back to St. Louis until 9:00. Worth it though. We sepnt a lot of time rafted with another family in a cove near our marina. They have a new Chap 276...Man what a boat that is, I have some thinking to do! (I know that is blasphamey here, but it's true). The main channel was unbelieveabley rough, especially for the amount of traffic. The 270 just cuts though the waves though, much easier on the back than the 240 was.

Only downsides: Spent 2 hours on Wednesday diagnosing (with MM help) and replacing (ME) a bad battery that was setting off Smart Craft alarms; Went through a quart of gear lube:smt101; A guy out of our marina killed a fisherman right outside our cove on Sunday night after we left:smt009 - word is he blew a .18.

We'll try to make our way to Kimberling in the next few weeks to see if we can find some of you guys - at least I know where to find Ray.

Wow, you drive from St. Louis to Table Rock every weekend? I make that trip once a week for work. Where do you keep your boat at? Oh, and Ray, I will call MM today and see if they can send you the part I need. I wonder if a horn is covered under the extended warrenty?

Hiya Tim <blasphemer>...lol. Chap hired 3 SeaRay engineers about 2-3 years ago that are now designing boats for them...probably why you liked the design. I just want you to know that the Chap dealer, locally cant bring an owner the service that we can. Our service techs worked tirelessly this weekend making happy boaters Im just sorry you had to replace your battery yourself....Ive inquired about getting lighter weight batteries...those damn things are heavy....
