Table Rock Lake

We are coming down for the last week of July, and the Admiral and I are trying to decide if it's worth bringing the boat down 550 miles for our vacation. Ideally I'd like to throw it in the water and see if I can find a transient dock for the week. Does anyone have any recommendations for a marina?? We are staying at the Eagles Nest Resort south of Silver Dollar City off of Indian Point Road.

Indian Point marina offers overnight slip rental, but why is your resort not giving you a slip? If your resort does not have slips I would change resorts because there are plenty that do. RockLane Lodge, Chateau, Big Ceder, LightHouse Lodge, BitterSweet Lodge. Take your pick that is just a few. Do they not have a dock or can they not get to their dock like everyone else? Table Rock lake is very full but just clear and cool as ever.

I was in Cow Creek Saturday from 11-7, I put in a solid 8hrs work.:smt043I was tied in between 2 similar cruisers. We stayed all day singing in the rain and all that. Sunday we went to Naked cove and tied up with my work friends, it was just beautiful. I sure hate days like that to end.

Speaking of nerves....that is nothing a bottle of Grey Goose can't take care of. I just don't take people to the lake because I like things my way. We have lake friends with boats. I hate freeloaders that have to go back to the dock to take a poop. Except Freddy!

The 4th I go to the Chateau to watch fire works. Can't really anchor because there are just to many boats. You would get run over when it was over.

The Admiral found too good of a deal to pass up; less than $400 for the week, taxes included. I should see what the other places that have slips are charging.

Kurt gave you good suggestion...Indian Point Marina....http://www.indianpointmarina.com/

You have a very good rate for lodging....another place you might check...they do have a dock is this resort....http://www.stillwatersresort.com/

Stillwaters will probably be more expensive....might be worth checking out.

Let us know if you more questions about Table Rock.

G'd morning kids, Im glad to hear that everyone is having fun on the lake. We had a 3 weekend run at Bass Pro with a tent sale in their parking lot. It was grueling but successful as we brought several new boaters into our family. I was back on the dock this weekend and although we dont have much there, I enjoyed "manning my post". We are loading a 44 Sundancer right now to take to the dock. In the following days we will be taking the new 35 Sundancer and a beautiful 48 down there also. Im hoping to have a really nice display for the holiday. Our lot looks a bit low, this is the earliest in the season to see us switch into "year-end model closeout" mode and with brisk sales at our Bass Pro event I dont have a large selection of trailer boats. But dont worry, we'll get more....heh
I want to personally invite everyone by our dock at Kimberling City to see these beautiful boats and say hi...Im there on my weekends...waving, rockin', dancin', laughing and boating....remember the famous lyrics by Huey Lewis and the news.."Im takin what theyre givin 'cause Im yachtin' for a livin'".....
Keep your eyes open ....over around State Park Marina...sometime around the 4th...something spectacular going in the water....

Ray...alright what is it? A 55DA?

It appeared there you guys sold several boats at Bass Pro....looks like it was a good event to get the Sea Ray name out in front of the public.

I would also like to know where this elusive naked cove is, and how it got its name. Drama queen, we did see a few boats over in mill creek. We were tubing, then went back into the cove to anchor. I saw 2 very nice SLX searays in the OMR cove tied up with a nice deck boat, but I could not see what kind it was. I took my son on the tube for the first time. We need a different tube. This one occasionally dives under water if you are too far forward. Here are a few pics. My son caught a monster fish as you can see. Then he took a nap. Is that you in the last pic Drama Queen?

Ozark Mountain Resort has a dock, and they will run you around 100.00/night give or take a little. There are alot of resorts that are on the lake, try big cedar. You could always take the "90 Minute tour" and get the rooms really cheap. Just stop by Bass Pro and buy one of their packages. Speaking of the resorts, have you guys seen the point 7 resort going in? Those condos are selling for I think it was 2 to 300K. That is just crazy.

The elusive "Naked Cove" is in what I believe is called Goblers Mountain. Looking East from the huge no wake signs or the Water Patrol boats at POK the cove is 2 coves east. All the way in the back when the lake is down is a natural sand/gravel bar. That is where most come back and tie up. We saw 2 dudes on top of their house boat sporting their junk this weekend. We just went further back to avoid them.
Here is the map.

Oh, we spent most of the day in that cove on Sunday, but did not go all the way back. We used that cove alot last year, and I used to tube in there, but my prop hit a few sunken trees. I guess it would be ok now though since the water is up. We dont travel very far from POK. Last year we would make the trip to cricket several times, but with gas at 4.59, we dont venture out as much as we used to.

Okay, Ray, I'll bite. What is it you guys are putting in on my side of the lake:huh:?

I don't know how often we'll make it to Kimberling City, that's like an $100 trip now:wow:. But if we do, we'll stop by and say "hey".

I thought it might be a new big Sea Ray...as I recall Aquapolooza isnt until August.....maybe Ray will quit teasing us...and let us in on the secret.....

Good morning boaters, I probably shouldnt post teasers when Im in a euphoric state of blissful jubilance...but hey....did I mention that today marks my 50th year in boating....AND LIFE!!!!!! I love seeing the pictures posted on here of Ms. Tablerock...shes beautiful. Anyway...uh...the boat I hinted at is very rare, high tech, state of the art and beautiful...but hey...all SeaRays are in my eyes...this one is a flagship of only a few built for 2008....more later...I have to go see after the recreational boating needs of the Ozarks...but hey...Im the perfect man for the job.

maybe its one of those Pachanga's??

Happy Birthday Ray!! See ya on the 4th!! Tell the gang I said Hello:)

Lonetta
