Switch Question

I have to replace the bilge pump switch on my 87 Seville. Can I just purchase any toggle switch or do I need something that is waterproof? It looks like an ordinary toggle switch, but I don't want to replace it with something that going to cause an issue.

There is no doubt that a sealed switch is going to last longer, but I have seen several boats with non-sealed dash switches. You can buy a non-sealed switch and put a boot on the baton that will seal up the exposed part.
