My helm switches are attached to a plastic panel that looks to be separate from the vinyl surround.

The panel must come out for access, but there are no obvious screws/fasteners to make removal easy. Does anybody have experience in pulling these things out (and not cracking/breaking them)?

Access from behind the panel would require some amazing acrobatics and/or contortion, although this is a Sea Ray, so that should never be ruled out.

Are you referring to the switch pads?

What year model is your 300 SLX?

So I looked your boat up and I'm not familiar with those switch panels. I would suspect there might be nuts on the backside that could be accessed from the hatch below.

I appreciate you doing that!

There are some screws that I think will get the whole panel off, but they are in the most awkward of spots. (Again, nothing uncommon when working around the dash.)
