Hello boaters,
Looking for advice on creating a wider swim platform on my old girl. I have upgraded everything else this the last thing that needs to be completed lol.
Cheers Rob

Yes I have, don’t want to spend that kind of money. I’m pretty handy having three red seal tickets so I might manufacture my own.
Cheers Rob

I had a new platform built by a guy I've used several times for repairing cracks in gelcoat and other things. He's an excellent craftsman and a genius at color matching in gelcoat.

He built my platform WITH THE BOAT IN THE WATER, did it to my size/shape requests, and did the entire thing for $2500.

You might check around the shops in your area to see if they can recommend a gelcoat repair guy.

Incredible!!! 2.5k! I guessed 8, wife guessed 5. That guy is WAY undercharging for his skill.

Angel (the craftsman) has worked for me for many years on little projects. We're about as much friends as anything. I have referred him to probably 20 different people who are looking for a good gel coat guy. He's a 1-man shop, operates out of his home and is busy ALL year.

To give you an idea of the quality of his work, look at the way he blended the surfaces to make it look like a factory platform. The color difference is because the floor on the platform has a fine sand on it for non-slip.
