Does SeaRay post or does any one know how much load I can place on my swim platfrorm. Thinking of putting on a 100 pound dingy and a 100
pound motor plus 50 gallons of gas. I would get a gas tank made to fit on the platform against the wall. Size would be 6" by 3' high by 5' long
estimated weight 450 pounds full. Thus I would be adding 650 pounds to swim platform.

If its against the transom the effect of load on the platform itself would be lessened. That said, I think an equally important issue is not the load capacity, but the effect on handling of the boat. I understand that the AC boats are hard to plane as it is, especially with gas engines. When I see them underway they really look like they are working hard. Adding that much weight to the stern is bound to drag down the back and cause handing problems. Might even make it unable to plane or at least cause the swim platform to drag in the water while underway, acting like a massive sea anchor. There is probably a way to test it by securing some plastic tote boxes or something similar full of water to the platform at the transom.
