Swim Platform Hydraulic and Controls Expert.

Hi Frank here late. I wanted to kind of set your mind at ease. The install of the new system is form fit and function. Very easy install. Just make sure that you tell Damon to keep track of which hose goes where. It just makes it a lot easier. Also all of the wiring is multiconductor boat cable with Deutsch waterproof connectors that are clearly marked and only can plug in in one location. Kind of hard to mess it up. The wireless remotes are all preprogrammed so you won't have to deal with that either. Should go very smoothly. I will always be available to answer any questions that you might have. I will also have the pressure adjustments preset to when it was put on at Sea Ray. I will help you tweak it if it is necessary but, usually not. Sleep well, Frank the Hydraulicpro

Looking forward to finally having the platform work as it should! Let me know the ETA on the shipping. I'm sure Damon will be in touch if needed.

Will do. Thanks. BTW, did you want to replace the outside hoses that are in the water. There are 6 hose assemblies. I have the lengths. All is in stock.

I tried emailing you and it bounced back. I'm not 100% sure of all the items I will need. I'd call Damon as he will be the one doing the install and troubleshooting.

Any idea on an ETA?

I can't not even begin to describe the level of frustration with this swim platform. My mechanic was convinced I needed a new manifold and pump after talking to Frank. Spent about $5,000 on a new one and it was built incorrectly with a 24v pump and not 12v like the existing one. Ship it back, get slapped with another $800 invoice "because I had to charge something to rebuild it" and now it's still not working. Call, nothing, email, nothing, text, nothing. I'm into this POS for about $6500 and it's still won't work.

I've begged Frank to call my guy dozens of times and nada.

Sounds like the mechanic in Kent Island who ghosted me. I think we talked four to five times over 2 weeks, he was scheduled to show up, never did, I called, emailed everything, emails bounced back, never heard from him again.

You know. One of these days I’ll learn. Against my better judgement I came on here to bitch about the pump not working, etc.

So you know what the issue was? And damn if I didn’t know better……the ground wasn’t tight nor was it in the right place.

My lesson, if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say it. And I’m also looking for a new mechanic. Seriously…..a ground and he swore the the switch was bad.

I owe you an apology Frank.

Got to love marine industry mechanics. You can do a horrible job, take forever to do it and charge a kings ransom. It’s my retirement plan lol.

My friends hydraulic swim platform on his 450 sedan bridge stopped working. When you flip the Rocker switch on the transom to arm the system, you used to hear a beep and the solenoids click. Now you no longer hear the beep or the solenoids has anyone had this issue before and where should I start looking

I had that issue turns out the breaker in the bilge was tripped.

If it's a GHS lift, there are fuses on the pump controller. Mostly a mixture of 5A and 10A blade fuses. Get a copy of the manual and the electrical schematic from the GHS site and start checking.

Or... call Rick at GHS for tech support. There's a concurrent thread just now with his contact info.

Another thing to check relatively easily is the rocker switch itself. If a wire is loose or a connection is corroded/bad, that could be causing the problem... and it might also in turn be blowing one of the fuses...

My rocker switch, the wires and the connections were all severely corroded. I cleaned up the wire ends, purchased a new switch and all was well with the platform....at least until the pump filter was plugged and needed to be replaced. Then all was well.

As GHS is not responding to my calls or emails maybe someone here could help me.
First time I used the left this year it was going down very unevenly so I immediately brought it back up. Added 24 oz to reservoir, still not up to top but it was all I had on board. When I hit the downbutton the motor runs but nothing happens. Also while the motor is running the pressure gauge goes from low to zero. I can see no leaks inside and outside looked good prior to spring launch.
Any help would be most appreciated.

couple of thoughts. Seems like I remember when filling with fluid, the manual says to fill within an inch of the top, but not all the way up. I may be mistaken, but GHS has manuals on their website.

I wonder if you got air in the system when the fluid got low.

Finally - why did the fluid get low? I get it - no apparent leaks. Seems like 24oz is a lot of fluid for that system. I have had a couple of these, fluid getting low was never a problem unless something was leaking.

Same with mine - and the cockpit lighting switch above it - sever corrosion...
