Swim Platform fiberglass repair

So I have a crack on my swim platform from the previous owner. The crack is all the way through and some of the fiberglass is showing....not that bad, maybe a 1 inch puncture crack over all....just wanted to know if there is anything I can put on it for the time being. Is this serious? Can the swim platform get water-logged around the edges and start mildewing inside? or is this even a big deal?

Call Grant at Eriksen Marine, http://www.eriksenmarine.com/ he has a very good fiberglass tech. When he's finished no one will know the area was damaged.

yeah i talked to Terry at eriksen today today, hes gonna look at it....but to pull it out of the water is 18 bucks a foot.....sucks...but thats life with a bigger boat i guess
