Hello everyone, looking for a little advice. I want to extend my swim plateform on my 1996 sundancer 330,i am thinking of using wood as a mold for the fiberglass, anything better out there....and should i use cloth or mat fiberglass
thanks

I assume you don't have the extended platform that was standard with the Inboard version of your boat... I think, but I could be wrong, that your boat may ride very bow high if you add the weight fo a swim platform to your stern. There maybe some light weight add on swm platforms that can hinge up that may work better for you...

Great sight... thanks... Now you will have a place to strap your Honda Generator...

? ?????????

actually i do have the extended platform that comes from sea ray..but i do not like the fact that it is lower than the integrated platform on the boat. That's why i would like to chage it for one that would be on same level...She is a bit bow high on take off but with the trim tabs it does not last long

How's your wallet doing these days? :smt001

I can't say if it will or won't work for your model - but what about a hydraulic platform?

Another thought - just off the top of my head - could some brackets be made to raise the current platform?

Just some food for thought...

Yeah... a hydraulic platform on a 33' boat...

Need to go add that one to my list.

Well, yeah, it'd surely be heavy. All I can say is that I've seen it done over the years. I've only seen it - never talked to the owners to find out how it affected performance. I'm not saying it's a good idea or a bad idea - just "an idea".

But, that's OK - at least I'm on some kind of "list".

edit: Besides, if one would upgrade the genny that's permanently stored on the bow, near the hatch, to a larger one... that would likely offset the extra weight.
