I took my dink out fri am for about 2hours. Ran it about 8miles round trip wot the whole way and she ran perfect for almost the whole run. Sputtered and died one time but started right back up and no problems heading home.
this morning I wanted to take it out for a quick run before loading up and heading home. Started up first pull hoped right up on plane for about 10sec then fell on its face and died. Cannot get it started for the life of me.
I pulled the plug and replaced. Checked for spark while the plug was out and I have spark.
pulled the fuel pump off and pressed the pump and it works perfect. So we have fuel. Atleast going to the carb. Could a dirty carb be shutting me down completely?
If there's fuel and spark what else could it be?

not sure if you would still have spark, but....kill switch? neutral safety switch?
not a good weekend you you.
hope it gets better........

Could it be a blocked jet? We have a small Suzuki and ours did the same thing recently. We changed the plug, drained the gas out completely, carb bowl and tank, filled with fresh gas, managed to get it started (but she ran rough). Next we sprayed carb cleaner into the inlet which cleaned all the valves in the carb. Currently she's running like a champ .................how long for is anyone's guess:)

Well I figured it out. The gas tank was filled with water...... I left the vent open on the gas cap over the bad weekend weather and im gueesing that filled it with water. But I drained all the water took the bowl off the carb changed the filters drained the oil and refilled. Ill bring fresh gas and a plug down tomorrow and c if she starts.....

Drained the tank lines and carb bowl. Changed plug engine oil and final drive oil and after a few pulls fired up. She know does 19mph on the gps. Very scary in that little thing. Running stronger then ever.

That little Suzuki is a great motor. My friend has a 14' porta boat powered with one and it also does 19 mph. Its got a floor like a water bed but it is remarkably seaworthy.
