My experience with surveyors tells me that I'd never use them if insurance companies didn't require them.

Just as a footnote Zack from Cummings has been moved farther south and no longer works in Glen Burnie... I found him to be helpful on another boat before I purchased the 58 this winter.. Keith is the point person in Glen Burnie and will take good care of you if the other suggestions above do not pan out.
