The boat I purchased and used Dave on was in Holland. I had the marina do a compression test and send engine and transmission oil samples to this place.

Lots of good surveyor recommendations. Where is the boat currently stored? Most Grand Haven area marinas should be able to be trusted with an engine survey (compression, oil, look-over) for a gas engine.

Engine surveys can be trusted to Drummond Marine out of Holland. Dave Boersma is about as thorough and honest as they come for general surveys

I got to say Dave is great. Very thorough and knowledable. He knows a really good engine surveyor for diesels as well.
