Big day tomorrow...survey, engine tests, haul-out...if all goes well, I'll be writing the big check (ok, make that getting the big loan) Thursday or Friday. so, i"ll take all the positive thinking y'all can muster!
Hopefully moving from my 5th Sea Ray, a wonderful 5-year run in a 2000 400DB, to my 6th, a 2001 480DB. used to frequent the "old" sea ray forum semi-often and this one after it started up but strayed away over the past 3-4 years (sorry). good to see most of the same old faithful still parceling out great advice as well as alot of new, very knowledgable folks it appears. Just wanted to let you know, you've been a great help recently as I've prepared for the search, buy, and close.
Cat service techs are doing coolant system & blow by tests & running all event codes. Surveyor is doing oil samples and running thru the Cat service records, in addn to the rest of the mechnicals, electricals, & structure/hull (incl moisture tests).
so, with that all said, off to get ready for bed for a semi-sleepless night again probably...and with some good fortune tomorrow, 6 days away from leaving the harbor for a 500 mile trip to our home port. feel like a kid again!
