Today while setting up the cockpit DTV for the Gator Bulldog game I realized this DTV is actually a HDTV (Sharp LC-19DV22U). The local channel 10 broadcast in HD and I was able to get the HD signal. The picture is really good, much better than the other (3) DTVs which are not HD compatible (One LC20S7U Two LC-15SH7U). Also this TV has a built in DVD player.

For anyone considering a cockpit TV this Sharp LC-19DV22U works well and is bright enough to view in sunlight.

The quality of this HD picture on the Sharp LC-19DV22U has me rethinking what to do for Sat TV. Before I was thinking that regular TV would be fine but after seeing this (I'm watching now) game in HDTV...well I'm spoiled!!!

Sharp makes pretty good LCDs. The specs are good. It can't do 1080, but for 19" that's to be expected. 160 degree viewing angle both horizontally and vertically isn't bad either.

Best regards,
Frank

Frank,

I agree this Sharp LCD display is very good, much better than I would expect for a TV that came with the boat. Hat's off to SeaRay for including this. Funny that the 20" Sharp LCD TV in the main cabin isn't HD compatible, just standard DTV?? Not complaining though, didn't expect any TV to be HD compatible, or able to receive any HD TV channels.

Go Gators!!!

Mike
