Thats great!! We were set to go by boat for some pictures but it was way too overcast!!! I know right where you took this picture from. Love that area!!!!!!

I have an older Nikon D-300 body and a Sigma 50-500 APO DG lens on a tripod with an electronic shutter release to avoid vibration. I probably took about 200 photos and chose the best to process and display. There is a bit of cropping and editing but it looks like what I saw. I am surprised I was able to get this decent of an image with the amount of humidity in the air. Thanks for all the comments.

Fantastic job Jim. I saw the moon peek out briefly up here but only with the naked eye. I didn't bother setting up the telescope since it was overcast most of the night. I am mesmerized by that picture every time I open this thread!

That picture is great. We saw the moon through some clouds and here's the best shot I was able to get of it.....

Mine certainly pales in comparison to the beautiful pic you posted.
