Popeye's had some mechanical problems that took a few minutes to sort out but once the guys got under way it was loud and fast.

That must of been cool to watch in the bay...I from there and my parents live in Lynn Heaven. Was just down there for vacation with the family in early September. How the town has change since I was surfing on the beach with nothing but sand duns around me, not it nothing but high rise condos and no more Miracle Strip Amusement Park.

Great Pics! I wondered where they were setting up. We have been sitting in the back yard watching them go out the pass. They are moooving when they go by...it's a miracle a can boat doesn't pull out in front of them.

Thanks for the pictures Richard. I wish I was down there with you. I love the go-fast boats.

Why crane them in ?...seems like alot of infrastructure to pick them up instead of trailering them in ???....Just curious

Getting ready to head over to the basin again. They were supposed to start at 7:00 am dropping them in the water to get all the boats in the water on time. This year they will have had roughly 20 more boats than last year. Reggie Fountain and his son ran last year. I did not see his boat this year but it may have arrived last night. The Super Boats Association crew said more boats were due in last night. We'll see.

Cool, thanks for posting. Looking forward to seeing the pictures from today. Are you going over in your boat or truck?

How long do they run? We just got back from the island where we could see them in the distance, but I'd like to drive over and "Feel" the thunder, STS.
