I don't have any great pictures of the sunset over water but I will use what I have to start this thread. It has brought out some great shots in the past. They posted in reverse order for some reason.

And just so my home territory of Glacier Park isn't usurped by another...

Here is quitting time at the boat dock (notice the forest fire smoke up the lake)

Oh... and scholarship... yours would be SunRISE as opposed to sunset. You are facing slight north, more east in your photo...

Sunrise, Sunset....I'm impressed that you noticed. The picture, as you accurately describe, is looking almost due east across Lake McDonald from Fish Creek. What's more impressive should be that I was even up at sunrise!

They are all looking good.

Sunset at the end of Killarney Channel - with a Sea Ray - and a blow bote

Here is a view over the starboard bow of my old boat. It is equipped with horns that are not a personal embarassment. Wait, that is another topic!

At sunset, but you don't see the sun. But here is a tribute to this old workhorse. Three carbs, two fuel pumps, three fuel filters, dual ignition and dual coils. Built in '65, I bought it in '68. Still runs strong. Lots of memories; any boat on the water is more fun than being a spectator on the shore.

Back to the Sea Ray! Looking west on the Columbia River, at about river mile 300, a few east of McNary Dam. They do come out in reverse order!

I am using 750 pixels wide, as I saw someone else do earlier in the thread. Hope this does not cause viewing problems. The file sizes are all under 90K.

Hey Fellas, Good stuff , thanks for the topic. The one thing that maybe we can all agree on is the fact that even though these pictures revive memories and wishful thoughts to return to those relaxing times and how powerful the pictures may be, they do not serve justice to the place and time we remember and wish to share .

Here's a few......

Dave we are blessed aren't we
