Can someone please explain to me the differences between these lines? Why would one by one vs. the other?

Thanks!
Tony

Sundeck = SUV
Select = Sport Car

Do you have gals that would like a head on the boat? Most Sundeck have heads, most "240 or below" selects do not.

By all means go to a dealer and look them over in person. Get on the boat and imagine family and friends on board. The is what my wife and I did when we were shopping and weren't sure what we wanted. When we went aboard the Sundeck we both knew it was the one for us. You just have to decide what works best for you.

Chuck gave a great reply above.

Have FUN shopping for your boat!

The Select is your classic bowrider with a sharp bow and the helm is positioned more forward. The forward helm means you have less seating in the bow but you have a sportier ride and handling. You also tend to have large sun pads over the engine compartment which reduces cockpit space.

The Sundeck has a slightly squared off bow with a swim ladder and the helm is closer to center. The helm position gives you a lot of bow seating and a more SUV-like ride. You typically have spacious, L-shaped seating in the cockpit which is conducive to entertaining.

As Chuck said, SUV vs. Sports Car

Both are equally nice but you need to determine what fits your needs.

Sundeck all the way. Wife and I are Senor citizen and love the Sundeck.

Have you been to a dealer yet?

Nope. My wife won't let me go because she'll know I will buy one!

We just joined a boat club and started renting sundeck 240's. I was researching different models and didn't see an obvious difference so that is why I asked.

Thank you for the responses Chuck and Tonka. I am much more inclined to go the Sundeck route as I will be doing a lot of entertaining. I was drawn to the Select 300 because the dual 300hp engine option, but the price tag = ouch!

I think the Sundeck 300 with a 496HO looks really interesting though.

Sorry, I didn't mean for that to sound short....

The best way to tell what kind of plaltform you are looking for is to go sit on them at a dealer. Just think about what you and your wife want to do when you're out on the water and how the boat will fit into those activities.

My wife wanted a big sun pad on the back, I wanted something I could fish from and that went fast. Needless to say the wife got what she wanted and we ended up with a bowrider, but I have been happy with the choice.
