2010 Sundeck 220 - Dual battery and A/B/Both/Off switch from factory.

With battery switch in OFF position, will the bilge pump get power if needed?
That is - is it wired direct to the battery?

When I picked up the boat last week, the guy who went over everything said that's how it was set up. A few months before that, someone else (don't recall if sales or service) said it was not. That is - with battery off bilge pump gets no power.

Anyone know for sure? I was thinking of dumping a bucket of water in the bilge to find out for sure, but haven't gotten around to it yet (and somehow that seems barbaric!). Right now I'm at work and it's raining. The cockpit and bow canvas are on, so it should be fine regardless, but it's on my mind...
I trust the guy who checked us out, but lingering doubt has been implanted in my brain.

First - it should be wired dirrectly to the battery. You don't have to throw water in though - you should be able to force the float switch to kick on the bilge pump.

Thanks Voldad. I'll take a closer look - I don't recall seeing a float that would be easy to reach or manually actuate - like it was on bottom/underside of housing rather than next to it. But I haven't examined that closely yet.

On my 2007 220 SD, it is wired direct to the bat along with the radio memory wire.
