Sundancer ACTUAL weights

I’m still wondering how you run the boat with motors that have two different set ups and probably two different torque bands. Do you look at the synchronizer and call it a day? When the motors are sync’d are they both at 75% of WOT when cruising? Could one be way above 75%? Just curious how that works. Seems like it would good to know the answer to how the engines are loaded to avoid damage.

The only way to REALLY know would be to see the dyno sheets for both setups. If you have them id like to see the difference as well. It seems to be the general consensus (in this thread) that the 310 hp 7.4 MPI has completely different performance numbers than the 310hp rated 7.4 carb. I would be willing to bet that the numbers throughout the curve are PRETTY close. But that is only speculation and based off my experience having the two motors side by aide (quite literally).

as far as how I operate them, yes, the synchronizer helps me a lot. I run them both at the same rpms and dont have to over compensate with the rudder. They are still mechanically linked to a transmission at a fixed gear ratio. So a set engine rpm is still going to spin the prop at a set speed…
 
I've watched a few shows on TV like engine Masters and they do show a slight torque advantage with fuel injection but a horsepower advantage with the carburetor
 
As a matter of fact I sat up on my couch all night because my ribs hurt so bad I couldn't sleep so the answer is no no holiday in sorry guys
