Ok, since last year you all gave me a hard time for riding the now banned Kite-Tube, my cousin turned it into Sportstuff and they sent him this fat Skirt looking thing called a Sumo Tube.

It's very fun....here's video my cousin took on our trip the end of July.

I can't get my wife to want to ride in one of those...
It's actually very comfortable. Not as violent as it looks. Jsut keep your legs crossed if you roll over otherwise they're slapping together like chicken legs in a breading tumbler

Looks like fun. It seems you control your side to side movement with the hand in the water.

Roll another one.....
Actually we found out it's not so much your hand (it does help) but when you let go of one hand your pulled to that side(the hand you let go) because the center of pull is the hand still holding on and the chambers/baffles in the suit direct you that way

OK I have to ask, what happens when the boat starts a turn and you pick up speed and you turn loose of it. Seems that the your world could become very bad.
Did you click on the video? you spin or let go. If you spin(barrel roll) you have to keep your legs together :smt021
It's actually very fun :smt101

OK Todd
How did you get that PhotBucket Link up here?
Tried to do it earlier this year and could not get it to work.

By the way...... YOU GUYS ARE NUTS!
Dan

If you use photobucket
you'll want to copy and paste the code for IMG

I would have to agree. Looks very wild. May be a much for this young 33 year old :smt009 . I just took a bad splash off the skis this past sunday and my ribs are very sore. :smt089

Todd, First the Wego tube which was recalled and now that Sumo tube? Have you read any of the horrible reviews on that thing? You must have a death wish. Good luck and make sure you are paid up on your life and ltd insurance.

First Brian, I'm 39 so you're younger than I.
Secondly,
Bridog...this thing really is not different than riding face first on an intertube, it will just roll over if you get whipped. The conical shape though keep you pretty cozy, but like I said cross your legs if you roll otherwise they flail around. It's very fun and I think safe with capable driver

I think that sums it up. :smt038 The fun factor on all the pull type toys really depends on the driver.

Now you really make me feel bad. All in all, it does look like alot of fun, but my poor ribs are still to sore to even think about any water sports. :smt009 Damn big head. :smt013

those guys obviously didn't have the "splash guard".
Its's a small triangular inflated pad the rope handle attaches to. It deflects any of the water which otherwise, as described in the Westmarine reviews, would more than likely drown you.
This thing really is fun, but without the splash would be hard to enjoy.
