Summer trips?

Winter is now officially dragging and we're itching to get back on the water.

What's everyone's plans for summer great lakes trips? We're doing Cobourg for Canada day, Sodus Bay for July 4th, and Niagara on the lake for a long weekend in august. We might sneak a week in the 1000 islands if I can swing the time off. All Lake Ontario for us.
 
We're making several trips on Lake Erie this year, 2-3 trips to Lake St. Clair and possibly Lake Huron & the Straits of Mackinac.

Our trips &/or rendezvous right now consist of:

Catawba Island to Cleveland, OH(North Coast Harbor Marina/Rock and Dock) visiting the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Catawba Island to Port Clinton, OH(TSPS Rendezvous)
Catawba Island to Harsens Island, MI(TSPS Rendezvous)
Catawba Island to Sarnia, ONT(TSPS Rendezvous)
Catawba Island to Leamington, ONT(TSPS Rendezvous)
Catawba Island to Pelee Island
Catawba Island to Kelleys Island(at least twice)
Catawba Island to Put-In-Bay(at least 5 times, 1 TSPS Rendezvous)
Catawba Island to Vermilion, OH
Catawba Island to Toledo, OH
Catawba Island to Monroe, MI
Time & money permitting, Mrs. Strypes would also like to take a trip to the Straits of Mackinac/Lake Huron & Mackinac Island...

That's all that we have scheduled for now, minus the trip to Mackinac. If anything else comes up, I'll be sure to add it to the list!

Very nice, that sounds like quite a few miles. I'd love to get us over to Lake Erie someday, maybe for the NBA Finals (GO CAVS) but I've heard the canal can be quite an experience.

I've heard that about the Welland Canal as well. I would like to try it someday though. I wouldn't mind cruising on Lake Ontario either.

If you're ever near West Harbor on Lake Erie, give us a shout!

We have three trips up the Snake River planned thus far. Usually when we go out on the boat it's a short distance trip and we'll spend a night or two.
 
We have a week in the San Juan Islands ending in Victoria, BC planned, plus we'll be on one of the Snake River trips GFC is talking about.
We have an extremely busy summer planned, not all on the boat. We have relatives from Holland coming and we're taking them down the Oregon coast, into San Francisco, over to the Grand Canyon, and back home to where we will get them some time on the river.
 
Heard great things from some others at our Marina about sackets harbor.
 
Topsail NC to BaldHead Island (twice hopefully)
Topsail to Downtown Wilmington for Wedding
Topsail to Beaufort NC
Topsail to Southport
And a bunch of cocktail cruises for guests in the late afternoons (captain not allowed to consume :smt089).
 
We're planning a trip in July this year leaving Lk. St. Clair in Harrison township and continuing as follows:
1st Leamington, Ont.
2nd Cleveland, OH. (Rock n Dock)
3rd Vermillion, OH.
4th Put-in-Bay, OH.
5th Catawba, OH. or Port Clinton, OH. (undecided)

So far there will be 6 of us on 3 boats. Should be fun.

Many many trips on the Delta, a trip or two to San Francisco, hopefully a trip to Santa Cruz and Half Moon Bay ( where they hold the Mavericks surfing competition) , CSR event in Atlantic City (if it qualifies), etc.
 
Fire Island has my name all over it.... Can't wait till I get back to my happy place.. 95 days and counting till MDW!!!

We've been to just about every marina from Toledo to Marblehead! There's a ton of nice ones out there. Much nicer than where we stay! We picked Midway Marina because Mrs. Strypes has spent the past 25 summers there the majority of the time(basically, she's the boss and we ended up where she wanted to be!). We were able to be dock mates with her aunt & uncle, and we know lots of people there and have made some great friends! I personally feel that it's the best kept secret in West Harbor!
