We just got back from a week in the Marlborough sounds and thought I'd share a few photos for you guys and gals up north enduring winter.
We had some great weather and the fishing was excellent.
Feel free to add to this post all you Kiwis out there doing it.

I see no squid??? Very lovely pictures... looks like a great week boating... I now envey you guys that boat in the beautiful water... my "chocolate milk lake" sucks...

Sorry about that Jason, save your pennys and fly out here. I'll be happy to loan you Annie for a week.... the only problem is you won't want to go home!

These first four are from when my bro and SIL visited us in May

These are from our club's Margaritaville Party in June. We borrowed the poster from a movie theater.

Just some others from the summer
This is on the Snake River. Gotta love those calm waters.

This is our setup down in AZ. It's a 1989 Reinell 19'er that I picked up to use when we're down south.

We went out to Lake Pleasant. Looks like the Democrats were having a political rally and The Annointed One showed up.

Here's our Reinell at a floating restaurant on Lake Pleasant.

Nice pics Gofirstclass, I thought the one before the last was the "Republican canidates getting ready for Iowa".............:smt043

It appears that we have a malfunction here, Houston. The Tri-Cities of WA have somehow slipped south and west. :smt001

LOL, I didn't think it looked like NZ. At least Gofirstclasses Reinell has NZ in its Rego..... Pics are great, the more the merrier.

I'll add a few more from a Wagon Wheel Raftup that we participated in this summer. It was hosted by Clover Island Yacht Club (nice bunch there!!!) and a good time was had by all. They used our boat for the "anchor boat" for the wheel because of our size and the size/holding power of our anchor. We set up at 11:00 and the wheel was completed around 2:00. One of the members of CIYC owns some pizza parlors so he took orders and, at $5/large pizza, delivered pizzas to everyone's boats.

All together about 35-40 boats participated. A lot of adult beverages were consumed, about 75 pizzas devoured, gallons of sunscreen applied and everyone had a good time.

Those pics will help us get through a cold day down in Florida, it's 40 this morning, thanks for sharing. Looks like a blast!!

Beautiful Pics, clear water. Neat Wagon Wheel - I want to do that.

All of your pics are helping make winter a bit more tollerable - and makes spring appear to be just a tad closer!

Thank you from all us northerners!

HEY, I'm a northerner too. We live just north of the Oregon/Washington border, but we just happen to live in an area where it's a desert and stays fairly warm throughout the year. Yesterday we set a record high of 58*. Gotta love that.

In the summer we get a week or so of 100*+ temps and in the winter we get a week or so of sub-freezing temps, but otherwise it's pretty moderate. Summers are in the 80's-90's and winters in the 40's. Combine that with some pretty spectacular boating and it's not a bad place to live.

We don't get the warm waters that Hampton and many others enjoy, but if you can stand swimming in the mid-60's water it's not too bad.

East side is always nice, but no trees!!! Windy and raining here on the west side. Going out this weekend to see if we can snag, opps hook a few steelhead. Great pics from "down under" and you should be loosing day light now.........Hurry up spring.

Hey thanks for the invite... Would love to see your part of the world... Take care and Happy New Year...

We came across a playful pod of Dolphins, they surrounded Annie at one stage.
