Filled up my boat today... 300 gallons (already had 200 gallons in the tanks)

Diesel was $2.58/gallon
Gas was $3.48/gallon (ouch!)

This was in Hampton, VA

240 gallons at 3.89 last Sunday. I'll be filling up again this w/e and think it has dropped to around 3.50. This is West Michigan.

2.38 for diesel in Knapps Narrows last weekend. The price probably went down this week. This place is always the cheapest around, but you have to back in between workboats and tie stern to the self serve pump, which is kind of slow. No big deal, just not as fast/easy as the usual fuel dock.

I noticed in NC while I was there Gas and Diesel (at the station) was $2.85

When I got back to florida Gas is back down to $2.89 not sure about deisel and don't know dock prices as I trailer so I'm lucky :)

The highest price I saw this weekend on Narragansett Bay was $4.09

The least expensive was $3.57, Diesel was $3.37

I filled up (202 gallons) at the least expensive Marina. OUCH!! :smt013

Interestingly both marinas had boats waiting to get in.

My local marina had $3.59 for 89 Octane on Saturday. Dropped price to $3.29 on Sunday.

Hard to imagine me smiling during a fillup. But the free ice pop also helped

I was happy gas at the docks was below $4.00 on the PCB trip. $3.98 at Sandestin and $3.86 at PCB. Still below $4.00 at the dock on the lake also

As low as $3.39 on the hudson. Most around $3.79

oyster bay on the sound was $3.89 Gas that is. I glance at diesel prices and they seem about 30-40 cents less.

I would cry and then puke if I had to put 300 gallons of gas in one shot. Lots of little shots is much easier to handle.

Agreed, if I could trailer I would.

I've been boating for 14 years, and this past weekend, was the first time I saw someone with 8 six gallon gas containers on the dock. I'm sure it's against the marina rules.

But he decide to save $100.

Gas at our gas stations is around 2.90 for 87 octane.

Our marina price is $3.95 but my yacht club is $3.30 for members

Port Jefferson NY was at $4.09 last week.

Gas on the street in South Ga has dropped down to $2.79 at some stations. Others are still $2.80-2.89 Diesel is down to $2.60ish. :smt009

3.29 on the water right now.

Yesterday's stockpile announcements should help us out a bit.

At local marina (Bloomington, Indiana) gas was $3.99 gal. If gas goes down to $2.50 at the gas stations I will pull the trailer down to the lake, could save $75 or more.

Today local gas prices are $2.59. Suburban is filled up and ready for trip to Charleston, SC. No, I do not get to take the boat on the vacation.

Local marina yesterday with Lukoil....
Diesel (40 Cetane)...$2.70/gal
Gasoline regular (87 Octane) $3.18/gal
Gasoline High Test (92 Ocatane) $3.58/gal.

all prices reflect $0.10/gal discount with BoatUS membership card.

Diesel....delivered to my dock (from the same truck that I saw at the marina making a deliver.... ) $2.19/gal

Oh...and all the above prices have the 9/10's of penny at the end.... :smt101

Ok, when cruising in a new place, do most of you just pull into a fuel dock and hope the price is good. Or do you call or radio places to find out what the price is first?

My club is still at $2.87 for mid-grade. It's expected to go up with their next delivery.

I asked the steward it the hose would reach my car.

We don't have much of a choice around us once we get away from home waters. You have atendancy to take what you can find. But I don't think I'd drive an extra 5 miles to get fuel for .10 cents a gallon cheaper...
