First it wasn't real prop slip but I had no other way to title the post.
On plane doing about 28 knots the boat all of sudden pulled to starboard dropped in speed and came off plane. The RPMS on both engines didn't change and were in sync there was no straining or cavitation noise. It was pretty much like I lost the starboard engine or drive but it was still running just like the port. Dropped both engines to idle figuring I'd limp home and for shits and giggles applied a little power to both and the boat was back to normal, kept powering up all to way to ~32 knots and no issues. Backed down to normal cruise and came back home without issues. In the river tested both engines and they were fine. I was able to power the boat with either engine.
I assumed at first I lost a hub or prop but the rpms didn't shoot up at all, it was like the same resistance was on the prop and motor but the prop wasn't pushing the boat. At the dock trimmed the drives up and the props felt fine, it was dark but from what i could feel it was fine ie no sharp edges like I hit something, put the engine in gears and couldn't turn the props by hand so I assume the hub isn't dead, though if it were I'd assume the rpm would change anyway.
I'm sort of at a loss, so I'm open to any ideas?
