I have a 2004 Sundancer 260. I want to put a 8"inch sub under the outdoor sink as shown in the picture. Anyone do this? Issues with it not being flat enough?

I think you will not like this location based on what it does to all the stuff in that area. Your cup holders will rattle all over the place, who knows what your sprayer will want to do. Unless you install a sealed air sub with some kind of enclosure behind it I think you'll quickly hate this location. Subs move quite a bit of air...

Ive seen and heard it done but if the air can escape to other areas expect those other places to vibrate, and when those vibrate your boat sounds like a gangsters car at a stop light. Sealed sub box is highly recommended.

Ours is tucked under the transom rail on the starboard side. It's a great location as the bass fills the entire boat without blowing you away. If you crank it up a notch it is too much and can rattle stuff 5 feet away. We keep the settings at neutral and it is very natural sounding.

Subs can be fun, in addition to a part of a great sound system.

We often have some fun gals on the boat, and at some point (usually after adult beverage consumption) they'll all sit in the U seating - and make a request for something heavy on bass - and crank it.

I'm not sure why...…..but it sure is fun to observe. ;)

Agree 100% plus in my 410 EC there is a rubber can in there with a trash bag that fills as the beers become empty :)

Took the risk and paid off. Sounds great. Just had to insulate the door a bit for $5 and re silicone the sink since it was lose. Cup holders not an issue at all. Deep sounding base on my JL M6 8" sub.

Man, I had the same thought re:location but thought the rattles would drive me nuts. Now you have me thinking...
