I will be heading to Don Pedro island in a few weeks from St. Petersburg FL, and it looks like I can get in at Stump’s Pass. I have a draft of < 3’, and I think it will be high tide when I get there. Anyone with local knowledge agree with that, or should I get inside earlier than Stump’s pass?
Also, once through the pass, should I stay straight, or veer to the right (to get around the island marked with a big *)? If the weather is bad, I will stay inside, so it might be a moot point, but if I can go outside, that will be faster, I just need a spot to get inside. Gasparilla Pass is my other option, it is further south, but about the same distance to where I will be anchoring for the week.
