I apologize for the double post. But I'm reposting this into the Gasoline Engine forum to get it in the right place!
Had to call for a tow this evening. I was docking at a restaurant and all of a sudden, no matter what I did with the shifter, it stayed in reverse.
6.2 liter mercruiser with bravo 3. It has the DTS system as well. I tried shutting it off and disconnecting the DTS cabling on the engine, hoping to reset the system, but no go. With the shifter in neutral, I start the engine and I'm automatically and immediately in reverse.
Any ideas? What should I check first??
