Hey folks - The couch in my salon is a heavy use item in my 38DA as it is my daughter's bed on the boat. The POS latch that is meant to catch when you push the couch back in is barely functional on a good day. The two bolts that go into the plywood under the cushions are just sitting there now (no threading left). Basically, to pull the couch out, I have to lift the large cushion (which is surprisingly strong velcro), give the couch a little shimmy shake to pop the two bolts up and then reach under and unlatch the catch. The bed continues to move even after the filler cushions are in place and moves a bit while fully retracted in couch mode.

I'd like to come up with a solution to slide the couch out and lock it in place in both the fully extended and fully retracted state, ideally without having to remove the large cushion...although if I could get the couch to lock extended and retracted and still had to remove the cushion to make that happen, it would still be an improvement.

Anybody do anything super creative along these lines already?
