I have a 50 sr sedan bridge and if anyone has used any product that is recommmended for cleaning strata glass and it cleans it, please let me know. i have tried several products that were recommended by the mfg, but have not found the right one. also are there any home uses that I could use.

I use a product named "Plexas"...comes in a spray can. Works very well and is available at West Marine.

I've been using Plexis with ok results but was thinking of using the IMAR products. What have you been using?

Use mild soap and water folllowed by IMAR #301 for cleaning then use IMAR #302 polish every 2-3 months.

Other products have solvents in them that will remove the Strataglass protective coating and void the Strataglass warranty.

This is exactly the directions I received when I had my windows re-done with Strata glass at a local shop who does a lot of work for the local Sea Ray dealer. The guy even gave me a bottle of each to make sure I used the right stuff. They are very clear :)

That's exactly the advice given on the Strataglass website which is why I'm thinking of changing to IMAR products. What's interesting is if you google Strataglass one of the first websites that comes up is the Strataglass website pre-2004 which predates the change in their recommendation from a stripper and Collanite #845.

I use the IMAR #301 cleaner/protectant after a mild soap and water cleaning. Works great. I have not used the #302 afterwards but we don't get all that U.V. up north.

My canvas installer recommended 303 Cleaner for the canvas and then IMAR for the Strataglas to provide the best overall cleaning and protection.

I'm with Frank on this one. Used Plexus until I got "strataglass" and since then I have been following their recs'

Imar cleaner and Imar polish is all thats recommended for Strata.Works effortlessly and bottles last a long time.I do mine every two weeks just because...

Once again, the use of anything other than the recommended cleaning products and methods can damage the coating on Strataglass, render it cloudy and will void your warranty. The following is cut and pasted from the Strataglass site:

Strataglass Care & Maintenance!
It is extremely important fabricators and vessel & car owners read and understand this information. We request fabricators provide owners a copy of this sheet.

We recommend using only IMAR Products. IMAR Strataglass Protective Polish, IMAR Strataglass Protective Cleaner, and mild soap (preferably IMAR Yacht Soap Concentrate) on Strataglass. (We no longer recommend the use of any other products, regardless of the manufacturer's claims.) Use of harsh cleaners like Simple Green and/or pine will dull the curtains quickly.
After September 30, 2004, using any other product(s) void the factory warranty

NEVER use a wash and wax product on Strataglass.

- Warning
*Use of RAINEX on Strataglass appears to work for a short time but then dulls the surface and presents an "Orange Peel" effect. Do not use RAINEX.
*Use of cleaners, polishes, scratch removers, or any other product made for regular, uncoated vinyl will damage STRATAGLASS. Do not use these products
* DO NOT HANDLE STRATAGLASS (OR ANY VINYL) WITH SUNSCREEN ON YOUR HANDS! This will permanently cloud the vinyl where handled.
