Engine: Mercruiser 5.7 EFI (1998)
Drive: Bravo III
When I shift from forward to neutral, or from reverse to neutral, the engine revs increase to 1200/1400 rpm for a few seconds before they drop to idle rpm. The increase takes place when the gear reaches neutral, when there is no propulsion at the props.
I checked ignition timing, replaced spark plugs en wirers but the problem remains.
The props are spinning free, no obstructions at the drive.
Does anyone have an idea what would cause this problem and how to fix it?
Thanks,
Ronn
