Forum Friends,
280 Sundance stern breaker trips when connected to shore power and I have a heavy load like AC turned on. Has anyone had this issue...Here are details and what I plan to try next.
1) On generator everything works fine nothing trips even with everything on at once.
2) nothing in main breaker box in cabin has ever tripped.
3) Only the stern drive switch trips when connected to AC (30 amp, 110 current on pedestal) and AC or water heater (heavy load is turned on.
4) Switch does not trip if you are just running refrigerator circuit, battery charger, etc.
5) Mechanic checked out all of the systems like AC, water heater etc. everything seems to be fine.

Here is what I have done to troubleshoot:
1) i tried another electric chord. No change.
2) I replaced the switch that keeps tripping with a new one. No change.
3) I ran boat on generator mode and turned on all electrical circuits at the same time. The breaker didn't trip.

Next I plan to change out the "Ground Fault sensing module" that is below the switch that keeps tripping...on the stern of the boat.

Do these ground fault sensors commonly need to be replaced?? anyone had this issue??

Thanks.
