I just traded in my 1997 250 SDA for a 2007 260 SDA. :smt038 Boat is in great condition but just like any other guy, I have that itch that I gotta have some kind of project/new toy in front of me.

First thing I am thinking about doing is upgrading my current stereo. Right now she has the standard Clarion but wanted some opinions to what stereos are recommended. I don think I want to put in a sub, its just un-necessary at this point and rather spend the $ elsewhere, but not sure what marine speakers and stereo are top of the line...any suggestions?

Also thinking about putting some indirect lighting in the cockpit area (maybe even the cabin)...was wondering if anyone has any sugesstions of what to do..where to add new lights...what products they have used/recommend....any pics of what they have done?

Would have liked to do some under swimplatform lights / below water level lights but already have barnegat under swim platform lights. Though are white and not blue or led, figured I should wait till i see those a lil more before i mess around with that.

Appreciate any feedback

I'm going to put in one of these...radio, no cd but made for i-pod. Another feature I liked are the optional wireless radio remotes

I have a Pioneer, but it's belowdecks...

I've heard a lot of guys talking about Fusion- worth looking into:

The popular thing with cockpit lighting these days is led- both direct and indirect.
Indirect works well with led strips mounted under the gunnels in the color of your choice, and you can also purchase led bulbs (in color, if you like) to replace the halogens you probably have in your arch. I've replaced all the accent and courtesy lights throughout the cockpit, and cabin, with led- including adding some undercabinet lighting. Here's a good source:
