So I searched for this before posting. Cant find a single thread on it, so I figured I would share.

We have multiple boats raft up every week end, and sometimes go to larger party areas. and one thing you will notice is peoples boats all playing different music at the same time.

for years people have complained about why marine radios don't Bluetooth sync up, and then company's started making head units with aux in/and out so you could run long aux cables at tie ups. and stuff.

Then finally someone started going wireless. and I am late to the show here, as a friend just turned me on to it, but I am a tech geek at times and think its cool.

You can buy it on amazon prime for 149.99. found a few places barley cheaper. (130 is the cheapest i have found)

But the kit comes with 2 boxes, about the size of a small pager (from back in the day). they are identical (both can send or receive), and 2 Aux cables, and a spliter , and charge cable (mini usb).

So you can have one boat playing music/ipod and sync other boats to it instantly. and wirelessly. They are stupid easy to use, rechargeable, water resistant, fairly cheap. You can sync mutiple boats to one sender. So you can pull up to a party and LINK your boat to the main guy playing and be done. Or you can be the sender/DJ and loan one to you buddy or what ever. Having 2-3-4 boats (or more) playing the same thing at a lower volume but all the way across the line we find way better the one boat jamming (noone on tha boat can talk) and nothing else playing on others alot better.

Just neat kinda newish stuff i thought i would share and I have found if you order a longer Aux cable, you can lay it on the radar arch and get ALOT of distance if needed.

cool....thanks for the info.....

$149.99 is MSRP, so it would be the same price or less from your local wet sound dealer. As a plus, they likely know what heck it is, what it does and can answer any questions.............all included in the purchase price
Dont need a 3.5MM out on the head unit, RCA pre-amp works just fine. However, you do need an input of some kind on all the slave heads, whether its 3.5MM or RCA pair.

most newer head units have AUX in, but yes you have to figure out how you want to hook them up. My post was to show its posible to link them though.

I personally have a male RCA to 3.5mm aux cable hooked in the back onthe preouts so I can buetooth the autio into my head unit and still get a output to send. I have a AUX in on the front if I want to receive.

something to note is most phones cant bluetooth the audio and Send it out the aux at the same time, hince the y cable that comes with the kit. single out, slit to your deck, and the sender. BUT if you pull from the output side of the deck you only need to single source to the deck, and then you feeding your own boat music and the send box.

No Y needed unless you have to give up one of your units to be a receiver slave on another boat. Phone to master via hard wire, then wireless to your slave receiver hard wire to your head and all other boats connect via slave hard wired to their boat.

Depending on distance I've been using a Bluetooth enabled FM transmitter this year to very successfully connect several tied up. About $20 and the quality is quite outstanding. Not the FM transmitters of yesteryear...but also not quite as techy as the Wet Sounds kit.

Several of us on our lake have purchased the A Link. It works great, is really easy to hook up, does not rely on wifi and best of all, anyone can play their music by pushing a button as all units are both receivers and transmitters. Highly recommend getting a pair.

I also use an FM Transmitter ($15), same outcome,
but for a lot less $. I also bought a beefed up transmitter ($40), puts out 10X the wattage of the car unit i bought. (Probably illegal). Also works well, but sound quality can suffer at higher volumes.

Id highly suggest purchasing through an authorized dealer. Not only do you get factory warranty and support, you have an outlet that likely knows the product and can answer any questions. Whether its local or online like through BOE, its the best route.

We've tried the Tune Mob app with 'some' success. It's a free app. However it only works off of your iPhones playlist, you can't stream Pandora, etc.
I'll put this on the list for next years purchase
