Stereo connection 175

Hi all,

My stereo / radio is a factory Sony unit. It looks like it can only be on when the ignition is on and or motor running which is fine and normal. the problem i have is that if I want to have music with the motor off, I can do this by turning the ignition key to pre-start I am also getting the engine warning test sound (continuously)

Am I doing something wrong?:huh:

Did you try turning it to the left? I think mine has that as an accessory position but I don't remember for sure. Might be confusing it with the old cars of 60s that I learned to drive on.
