Steering Wheel upgrade

I am replacing a steering wheel on a 2000 330 Express Cruiser, I purchased the correct wheel that has a 3/4 inch taper. Is this as simple as process or are there any hidden tricks to replacing a steering wheel on a 2000 SeaRay

Pretty simple, just remove the center retaining bolt. Getting the wheel off can be difficult, some people use a puller to do it. When I removed mine it seemed stuck on, I just tapped the shaft with a hammer while pulling on the wheel and it came off. Don't bang on it too hard, but a moderate rap should vibrate it enough to work it off.

Just took mine off the other day. I had to spray with Kroil and let it soak in overnight.

Mine took cryo spray on the shaft, blow torch to the hub, and 30min with a 6# sledge. Good luck.

What are you guys upgrading to? I just cant justify $750 from SeaRay, but would like to replace my 05.

The steering wheel is just a pretty piece of round metal that is generic.
Not specific to anyone and any wheel can be covered in any type of material and finish. No reason to get a high priced manufacture`s wheel.
Why do you consider replacing a round wheel with a round wheel an upgrade?
That about as lame as looking for Sea Ray trailer straps
