steering play

I have about 1/4 turn play in my wheel. Seems to be getting worse. hard to stay on course without constant attention.. Anyone know if there's an adjustment? It's been a lot of years since i did gimble ring.

Funny - you should say that - For the last few times I have sailed out of my berth I have knocked the side of the boat against the pontoon Then I noticed my wheel is exactly 1/4 out and thought next time I will turn the drive to straight and the wheel off 1/4 turn and the boat sailed out totally straight.
I am going to look in the engine bay where the power steering is and try and find the fault - worst case take the steering wheel off and correct it
