I have an 1989 220 Cuddy Cabin and am looking for some help. It appears to be the actuator and was wondering if anyone has ever found a rebuild kit, or another option except for a new unit.

I had a leaking steering actuator on my 2008 RInker 350 which had Volvo Penta engines and drives and was told that no parts or service kits were available due to Liability as it was a safety critical system. My issue is that mine would leak and also ingest air and lock up, I could unlock it by taking the cap off of the pump reservoir. I ended up putting some chemical leak stop in the system and it actually worked for several years and was continuing to hold when I sold the boat.

Thank you for the responses. After cooling down late last night I decided to check it this morning with better light and a better attitude.
I refilled the system and had my wife turn the wheel as I inspected it with some better light.
It was actually the high pressure hose spraying on the actuator, not the actuator after all.
