we've now been cruising for a couple of years and decided were all in.
my 290 is working for now, as we tow to either side of Florida to launch, and for now can't be gone for more than a week or so at a time anyway.
plan is to keep a boat at GA coast, and look at a boat that can jump offshore to motor south fairly quickly so we can spend time in central FL to SoFl. will want to be able to run to Bahamas and Keys. will just be me and my small wife, so we don't need a huge boat.
at first was thinking a sedan bridge, but now i'm thinking the 370 Venture or Pursuit SC365 for better offshore performance.
we were plowing though fairly rough water recently and a sportfish came flying by easily cutting through and made an impression on me.

The Pursuit will handle the rough waters much better. Ouch though on the $410K base purchase price. It got better reviews than the Venture too but I do like the way they're both leaning towards the OB setup.

Richie, I, like you moved up from a 240, but can tell you, I love my 360, but with the water we boat in, really feel I need 2 boats. Don't laugh. I love keeping the 360 in the water all the time and she is like a condo. BUT sometimes, I want to get up and go offshore and fish. The Pursuit is beautiful and Jupiter just came out with a VERY nice boat. However, not sure I want to spend new boat money.let me know if you find that perfect boat. My ideal setup would be a 52 SedanBridge and a nice 345 Whaler. Just sayin.

Consider the Intrepid 375WA or 390 Sport Yacht. Both better suited to offshore use, and have the amenities for staying aboard. Plus the obvious advantage of twin O/B power. Also, take a look at the Edgewater 335EX (a slight bit less pricey)

Pursuit SC365 is absolutely a gorgeous boat; love the outboard hidden setup, way to pretty to fish on however. I would look at a contender for the 2nd boat; less on fit and finish versus a Jupiter, but has a reasonable price tag. That and a nice lightly used SR 340

Check out some of Fountain's boats. They have a small cruiser near 40'. Also some fishing models with cabin and amenities along with performance. IO's, outboards, and some diesel options
