Starting to dream about boating now.

If you put that snowblower away this weekend we'll surely know who to blame when we get 10" of snow the second week of April...

That's no joke. I store my blower in an outbuilding about 100 feet from the driveway and down a berm.

It was drained and run dry for storage when I got 16" in the middle of April.

8 am Saturday and its already up to 5 inches of snow here. Still have the snow tires on the Range Rover and will take side roads if necessary 30 mile ride to the boat goes smooth! I know what your thinking... Why not stay home. Truth is I like driving in the snow.

I like snow about as much as I like a trip to the dentist.
This morning was a good excuse to give the dog a bath being he was plenty wet coming in from our early morning walk. He actually likes baths. Can't wait to get in the tub. By the way, he's the only one that uses the master bath tub. :D:p

Nice. We’re across on the other side now.
Our view from the Tini Martini Bar overlooking the North mooring field at the City Marina in St Augustine. We stayed at the docks here on our loop and on a ball on our way to the Bahamas. She fell in love with the city and now we do a month here during the winter in the rv.

we’ll be back north in plenty of time for the May 15th marina opening. Not dreaming of the boat quite yet.

I bought a new snowblower once and it didn’t snow the first year the second year it snowed once and the damn neighbor was doing his driveway so he did mine…. I was all excited driving home from work …. Drive up the driveway said to my wife did you get the blower going she said Hank did it…. Wasn’t that nice of him?…. What the heck 2 years never used

Go ahead. Rub it in.

It's windy, cold and rainy here today.

They have the dredge up near the office. The pipes are in place for pumping. It looks like they had the excavator cleaning out around the docks close to the creek . I will get some pics in a little while.

I saw that. Those 10 docks have been useless as long as I've been there due to silt pouring out of the creek mouth.

That isn't being done by the dredge folks but by a contractor hired by the village. The trouble is that the machine couldn't reach out far enough to be effective so there's an island at the end of each dock. With the dredge working it's way north of there, I'm not sure how that will be handled if at all.

You'll see in short order that our marina is run somewhat nonsensically most of the time.

I'll keep an eye and ear out for any openings south of the creek if they arise and let you know. It's really the only place where you can be assured to float all year.

I bought the machine I have now from a coworker who moved up here and it didn't snow for 2 years. He moved to Florida soon thereafter and put it up for sale.

The tags were still on the handlebars along with the price he paid and the gas tank was factory dry.

I got it for half that price and sold my old one for the same amount later that day.

Thank you. I guess I am hoping for more than the long term boaters have historically seen. It would be nice to move down that end.

One of our favorite stops along the west coast of Florida. Awesome meal tonight. Got me a key lime pie being delivered be @carterchapman and Susan tomorrow,
We sure had a great time with you and Deb on your beautiful boat!
