Starting to dream about boating now.

On this gorgeous 60 degree day I just visited my boat. The alligator crawl through the shrink wrap door was well worth the 10 minutes I spent sitting in the cockpit basking in the blue glow.

It was like a walk in freezer in the cabin though.

Definitely have the itch now. Looking at 1st week of May splash.

How is the water level? Last I saw it will be hard getting into the slips. I know they are supposed to dredge but doubt that has happened yet.

The water level in the canal popped up nearly a foot in the past week or so, which was a pleasant surprise...my slip was pretty skinny at the end of last year.

The dredge equipment is in place and I understand that they're only working north of Montour Marina, where it really doesn't need to be done. I've heard that it'll be a 3 year project...terrific.

The last time it was done, it took forever and was totally undone in one night by a flash flood in '18.

Where are you? You seem to know the area well.

New to the marina. I live in Montrose PA . I just bought the boat the end of November so I have not even had it out yet. I was up there in February to check on things. I will be at 63S.

Ahh, I think I know your boat...used to be named Size Matters as I remember, right?

The north end won't be dredged according to a good source, but will begin (headed north) at the old Montour YC building, which means that not much will change in your neighborhood unfortunately. It can be tricky...I was at 57N and beached a lot a while ago.

I'm at 36N south of the bridge. Stop by sometime!

That is the one. Will be changing the name though. I will be bringing a shovel in the next few weeks I guess. LOL . May have to sacrifice a jetski pump.

I looked at that boat on the hard at Frog Hollow about 6 or 7 years ago. It needed some love.

The folks that you bought it from did an amazing job of bringing it back to life.

It's a big bastard. Lol

I just got the email from my marina asking for this years slip payment! That means they are starting to get ready for the spring launches!. There is still snow on the ground between the boats in the yard though. I have a few things to do on the ground, but will wait till the snow is gone. Probably early April I can start. GAAAWD I hate waiting for spring.

Lets see….

It still needs lots of love. But I think I have enough room after purchasing it. I think I did good.

Took a trip up to the marina. This is my boat. It’s supposed to be cool and rainy the next week or so. Hopefully will melt quickly.

Yeah they are talking a mix on Saturday night and Tuesday. I'm done shoveling. It'll just have to melt on its own. The snowblower is getting put away this weekend and the lawnmower is trading spaces/places. I took the orange rods to mark the sidewalk and driveway down last week. I'm done with winter.

I plow snow during the winter. I have 35 driveways on my list. Plowed 16, once this year.

I put my Expedition in storage at the end of February. I also take off full coverage insurance. I put 25 miles on it in 4 months.

If you put that snowblower away this weekend we'll surely know who to blame when we get 10" of snow the second week of April...
