Starboard 3116 just started being hard to start. Need engine schematic

I just reread this thread and this is just an FYI for you O'Reilly doubters out there... Both relays since replacement, one a CAT part and the other BWD 3112 from O'Reilly's have performed flawlessly since placement. The 2 spares I carry haven't been touched and that goes for my jumper wire too. (lol)

Thanks. There is a rectangular junction box on the motor just above the v-drive. The box has a lid that is latched closed. In the walls of the box are circuit breakers and in the box is a terminal strip and a couple of relays. The square black automotive style relay is the one in question. I will take a couple of pictures next time I am out.

Thanks Pete, At least now I know where to check for a 12 volt start signal from the ignition switch, I have called CAT Marine and they still have not found the wiring diagram I was looking for, the terminal block at the bottom of the j-box is where the incoming wiring lands, if I knew which terminal to look for a 12 volt start voltage when the ignition key is turned to start would be very helpful. That would tell me I am getting the start voltage from the key switch, also I am an electrical engineer and master electrician, just trying to limit my search time. What is the configuration of the repay 2P NO / NC ?? with 12 volt DC coil

Thanks JC. You may have been spot on. I went to the junction box and found the ground wire had fallen off the junction block. And was just barely touching the screw. So I put it back under the loose screw. Was Terminal 14 which is the ground for the relay and fuel solenoid. I was not able to debug it because it has been working, but the loose ground really should be it. And I did find the schematics in the junction box. Cool.

I just saw this reply, Terminal 14 is a great place for me to start, now if I only new which terminal is the 12 volt from the ignition switch Start position.
