Hi, I am new and this is my first post. I recently purchased a 1992 Sea Ray 37 DA and will be boating in Georgian Bay out of Honey Harbour. The previous owner had installed a standard horizon cp590 2 years ago. I am planing on adding radar but not sure if it's a good idea to invest money on product that is obsolete. I understand I can purchase a Si-Tex radar for this unit. I am in a bit of a budget as I am doing a few upgrades and repairs to have it in top shape for next year.
Any one has experience with this unit? Can't find much info on how good the plotter works with the radar so if any one has this combination I would appreciate if they could share how satisfied they are.
