In the thread "Source for stainless steel engine vents Brian "Bridog" stated:

Well ask and you shall receive. I was able to find the Imtra switch he posted here.

I went through the process of figuring out how to make it of stainless. It will match that exact bolt pattern, but won't have the small detent on the lip. The weight alone will hold the lid down. It will also have a real hinge, not a hooked in one like the originals. These should be as easy as unscrewing the plastic one and screwing these back down. I will have pricing tomorrow, but it will be determined, just like the vents on how many are ordered.

    Todd,
I may be interested too. I just would feel better if they had a clip or something to keep them closed. I'm just thinking about the rides across the bay when it's snotty out. I can see them flipping open & closed with some spray coming over the bow. Any chance you can add something to keep them closed?
Let me know of the pricing when you get it worked out. Thanks.

Dennis "Lazy Daze" PM'd me an idea that I may implement to keep it closed. The idea would be to add magnets(very small) to keep it closed. We can encapsulate them in epoxy or something to protect them, but I'll figure it out.
Thanks again for looking and I'll update you all tomorrow as soon as possible.

I love the idea, Todd. But, lack of locking feature is what I'm not too happy about. I hope you can come up with some reliable and long lasting method of keeping the lids locked. Otherwise, I'm sure mine would be flapping all the time and it would be driving me crazy. Looking forward to your updates.

Todd, magnets is something that sure might be one of the options. I think round (all around the lid) would do a great job as it would provide "suction" from 360 degrees. All you'd need is some grove and super good glue to keep the magnet in there for years to come.
