I am new to Sea Ray and just bought my 2008 Sundancer. I have the infamous LG microwave coffee combo... and like many others, I am missing the coffee carafe. I am hoping someone can share which coffee carafe (any brand) they found to fit in the unique carafe slot. I appreciate your suggestions, thank you!

Years ago I searched high and low and my only suggestion is to add a keyword watch on eBay hoping something comes up. Otherwise get rid of it and buy a kcup like I did.

You will never, ever use that caraf. I know you want the look but, as mentioned above, just buy a k-cup or nespresso machine and go that route. Trust me, the old microwave combo has been sitting, the water lines are nasty and haven’t been cleaned. Coffee is ALL about the water. Trust me.

We just do our usual travel solution, which is Starbucks Via. Yes, it's instant coffee, but it's actually really good and all you need is hot water. I found a collapsible silicone kettle on Amazon which takes no storage space. I can fit an entire summer's worth of coffee and the folded kettle in the space where the old carafe went.

We actually had the carafe when we got the boat, but my idiot son dropped and broke it on our maiden voyage, and never got to use it. I'm still pissed, but mentioning the nastiness that must be in the water lines makes me miss it less.

There are ways to clean coffee pots.
We have our carafe, and will use it when we sleep on the boat.
The Starbucks Via is pretty darned good also. We take it on some of our vacatiins.

Absolutely there are ways to clean the pots. It glass so the issue is lees with that than the coffee filter holder and all the internal lines. Simply put its plastic and the components don’t last that long. More over, most people would use a coffee maker from 2005, for example, so why do we have that expectation simply because it’s on a boat. Just a thought.

Thank you all for the tips. The microwave works fine and I did not want to replace it.
The other day my wife showed me a stainless steel carafe she had found at Marshals and said "would this work for the boat?"
It fits! I finally found a solution to the empty slot!
I attached a picture of the carafe in the microwave.

Is there a model number or make on that stainless carafe? I’m missing mine too.

Hi Rob. The stainless steel carafe is an Olipac. Using the info on the carafe I found the same model on ebay... see attached picture. You will need to remove the upper lip on the carafe to fit in the tight space of the microwave combo but at least you wouldn't have the empty look. My wife and I use a separate French press for our morning coffee.
Btw I will message you separately to ask you a question on the on/off for the shower in the head... I see that you also have a 330 Sundancer.

I’m also looking for a replacement coffee carafe. Did you have any luck?

You will not find one. There's been countless conversations about this. It is not made anymore.

I’d prefer one that actually works with the drip coffee maker, not just a space filler.

Keep this in mind Liz and far best from me to tell anyone how to run their boat but you are dealing with 12 year old water lines from an '08 boat. Those lines have probably never been cleaned and neither has the coffee maker. Since coffee is ALL about the water and the beans we switched to a drip coffee maker on our 340 and our 40. The look of the coffee maker with the dedicated pot was cool and all but the coffee taste was horrible. Lots of people have taken a cabinet space and turned it into a coffee maker. Just a thought.

Yeah, I see your point, but I use bottled water in the coffee maker so the taste has always been great. The carafe broke this past weekend. I guess I just need to concede that it’s a goner and buy a separate coffee maker. Thanks for the quick responses!

Ours is still intact, and we use it and like it.
