The wife are going to St. Michaels late December for 2 nights, by car :-(

Never been there in the off season, hopefully some restaurants are still open. Any recommendations?

Awful Arthurs and Limoncello have been OK, ditto Ava's for pizza/pasta and Foxy's (in our case, for good weather outdoor lunch). Crab and Steak House, sometimes. Some other places have gone out of business.

Might all be different in December.

Bistro and Theo's have never disappointed and are open in the off season.

Limoncello's as mentioned, is ok as well. Foxy's is only open inside and only Thursday through Sunday.

Carpenter Street Saloon has good bar food.

Thought Theo's closed. Maybe I'm thinking of Cambridge.

    CS Saloon for breakfast, too.

Ava pizza, sit at the bar. Coffee shop on the main street has great espresso, I forget the name, it's on the same street Higgins is on.

Update: Basically had good food at all the places we went to last weekend. Ava's Pizza, Carpenter Street Salon, Harbor Lights, and the Pub at Perry Cabin for evening drinks and cheese board.

Expound on CSS. I used to love that place, but I am seeing horrible reviews these days and cant understand how it could have fallen so far. Some bad review points.
    1. When someone complained the food came out cold, manager told them to leave.
    2. Surly waitresses.
    3. Wednesdays is trivia night and if not a local, you are not welcome.

    What marina you stay at?
Did you need a 2nd mortgage for teh Pub at Perry Cabin?

Had a good experience at CSS. Was there Friday night for dinner, locals around bar, but everyone seemed fine. Food was decent for "bar type food" and had no issues with staff.

We went by car, but stayed at the Harbor Lights Marina/hotel. Definitely good food.

At the Perry Cabin Pub, we had drinks, port and wine tray.....$100. We stayed there for my wife's 40th several years ago and really like the pub, so we did not mind the cost.

Funny thing, we felt Over dressed at CSS (did not have any camo on) and Under dressed at the Pub....

Just a comment on CSS, best breakfast in St. Michaels, hasn't changed. Was there 4-5 times this past season never a bad breakfast even with six people. Too many nicer places to go to for dinner ...

We ate at Ava's (sat at the bar) and loved it, next night at Limoncello Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar, did not like it. Then we walked down the street (south) to a cool place on the left for a drink after dinner and desert. We sat at a bar where the wait staff picks up food. I can't remember the name. There was a big outdoor seating area in the back.

Breakfast agree, my daughter still talks about it.
100 at Perry Cabin, I can drop that at corner bar, will have to try the place.
I should stop looking at yelp reviews. Too many Karens.

Yeah, we don't care for Limoncello either. The place your describing sounds like Bistro St. Michaels. Pretty good food, a little eclectic, but nice. Theos (dinner) and Foxy's or Awful Arthurs for lunch are my go to places.

CSS hasn't changed as much as people say. Still ok service when packed, and is always packed. So I wouldn't take the reviews too seriously. I will say they are right when they mention the local thing. And local means living in St. Michaels for a long time. But hey, I can understand why.

Well, my daughter moved to Tampa, got engaged to a real nice guy. Stable medical job, owns house, never married, former army, trained dogs in army. So our 2 week Bay voyage won’t happen. They coming to Baltimore this weekend, I get to meet him. So she settled down at 39, gave up the gypsy lifestyle. Didn’t see this coming.
Known each other long time, just never pulled the trigger, seemed about the right time.
I am not ready for this.

My daughter in Tampa, son in Tempe. WTF are the odds that 2 kids would grow up to live in cities one vowel different?
