St. Louis Boat Show

Tim...have fun....I dont think we are going this year. I thougt about going to Tulsa last weekend, as they were supposed to the new 450DA.

I may go on Sunday or tomorrow.

talked to a guy at marine max today at lake of the ozarks ,he said the biggest boat they have there searay wise is 35 ft.

One of the local salesman told me the same thing....the biggest they were taking was the 350DA.

Yep, they had the 350 DA and 310 DA. The show was really small, about half the size of 2 years ago. Regal had a 38'ish, and that was it for cruisers.

Pricing was interesting, now I really understand why the used market is the way it is. Funniest thing I saw was a big sign touting $200 of the MSRP of a jet ski. They didn't seem to be selling many though. None of the jet ski dealers had any pricing on the ski, and they were reluctant to discuss anything other than MSRP:huh:.

All in all, it was pretty disappointing. We did get a good deal on a new wake board, the kid's old board was getting a bit small as they become adult sized. And we got an $80 ski vest for my youngest for $29.

Tim...thanks for the update. Weird how is has changed in just 2 years. I recall 2 years ago they had a 48DA, 44DA, 38DA and several Meridians. Last year at the show, one of the salesman told me their sales goal for the show was 35 boats.....2 years prior it was like 105. I wonder what their goal was this year? Come on spring....

MM at the Atlantic City Boat show had a staff of 16 people there. Sold 4 boats in the first 3 days. None over 30'. Then came the blizzard and they shut-down for the weekend. I felt bad for the people working the show this year and noticed that the floor space was about 80% of what it was last year. Certainly a sign of the times. But what I don't get is that the boat prices for new larger sized boats are still heading up each year.. Regal seems to be the only one pressing 'value' in their 40' and above line-up. Looks to me like other manufacturers just want to find the sucker in the group that is going to pay MSRP..

Actually, the boat show pricing was much lower than I remember two years ago, for MM at least. The really intersting thing was how reserved the sales staff was. They weren't even approaching people unless they were directly asked a question...It was weird.

Wasn't able to make the show, was it a 2009 or 2010 - 350? What was the boat show price on it?

Looks like typical boat show discounts, I think they were actually a bit better 3 years ago. Not that it means much.

You got ripped off... someone posted a link on here earlier where you could get 8 adult ski vests, with a container no less, for $48... That's like 6 bucks per vest... MSRP. I'm waiting for a sale.

Yeah, but did they have cool wake boarding graphics? I think I'll skip the $6 "ski vests". I already have the 4 POS vests that MM "gave" me.

Gerry, was that the older style 310? (2007-2009) Now (2010) they are the same size as your 280DA.:smt100

Yes - the old (larger) size. Look at the first 2 lines in the specifications section of the invoice. :smt021
