I tried HyrdoSilex a few years back. Absolute and utter garbage. It does smell really good though, so there's that.

I think I left a review around here at the time. I ended up using what was left to clean the heads a few times. Worked pretty nicely for keeping the crapper smelling nice, looking decent :)

I compounded, polished and then applied this stuff to my SUV recently:

I am impressed so far. I am looking for something similar to apply to the topsides between waxes to help make it easier to clean off bird poop. Google returned a few spray wax products, nothing like this though.

Has anyone found/tried one?
I am going to try this

I have a foam cannon that i will apply it with/tech support/customer service walked me through the steps. It’s a little involved. All wax needs to be off so the ceramic can adhere to the fiberglass. I have to go back into surgery on the 21st to fix screws and herniated rib muscle so if I don’t get to it before that it might be a minute. I did use it on the Jaguar and am please with the results. No heavy scrubbing, has a nice shine and the water and dirt just rinse away. We’ll see.

I’m telling you.. I had storage, compound and wax my boat above the rub rail. They used a product I had never heard of….. no fancy ceramic shit. I’ll ask again what they used but my boat looks great…and bugs and bird poop comes right off still today. I might have them just wax it this spring before launch…. Rather then take a chance of not doing it

Along those same lines, finish on our new-to-us this summer 300 DA is slightly oxidized. I know Sea Ray recommends McGuires and 3M waxes and polishes. Should I just use a polishing compound and then wax over it? I have a nice orbiting polisher to use…..Recommendations?

There really is no spray on type of sealant or ceramic that works well on a boat. I have probably tried them all. These sprays do work well to extend your coating if they are compatible.

On my boat with the Starke Hyper Hold on it, I spray some of their rejuvenator on a microfiber, wipe it in, and remove with a dry microfiber mid season and it feels like it was just polished and waxed. The hydrophobic properties are majorly noticeable.
